Coconut Hideaway is a charming and unique beach house located on Little Gasparilla Island. With no bridge and no commercial establishments, the island really allows visitors to get back in touch with nature, to read and relax in the hammock, and to enjoy the company of friends and family. It is a place to relax and recharge, to escape stress and to enjoy Florida the way it was meant to be.

Our Story

Coconut Hideaway is built in the Caribbean style, with high ceilings, large overhangs to provide shade, screened in porches front and back, hardwood floors and cedar walls. It is decorated with antiques and souvenirs from our travels abroad and is not your typical rental property. We want you to feel as though you are vacationing in a friend’s house, where you have access to the pantry, there are shell collections, a piano with sheet music -- and you can even find a spare pair of flip flops if you need them!

Downstairs we have a tropical garden with ginger, frangipani, heliconia, papayas and other tropical foliage...in the front yard we have a tiki hut for sitting in the shade and listening to the surf. The house features handmade cotton hammocks from Nicaragua that are the most comfortable in the world!
