Basic returns start at $85.00, returns with minor dependents are $95.00 business returns can start at $125.00 and go up from there. Thank you so much for all of your patience through another tax season. Just wanted to touch base with everyone on our time frames for tax return completion. For all returns that have been dropped off to the office, emailed to [email protected] or [email protected] at this time we are running 2-3 weeks for a date to have your returns completed. We will call you with the number we have on file or email you back as soon as your return is completed. Please try to be patient and avoid calling the office to check on the status of your return as this takes our time away from finishing returns. For our clients still waiting for the unemployment tax documents to file taxes expect to see them later than usual. According to information released yesterday the state of Michigan will be sending the tax documents the end of February.

Michigan residents who received jobless benefits now will face delays in filing their returns -- and receiving tax refunds.

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Tax Season at the IRS officially started 1/24/2022 which means they are processing filed tax returns. We are doing returns again by drop/off, email and fax. We are scheduling appointments for anyone who wants to drop them off and then wait in their vehicle while we prepare them. You can then come in “contactless” (WITH A MASK) and sign and pickup your paperwork. You can make your payment at that time or pay over the phone with a credit card. You do NOT need an appointment to drop your paperwork off. Lisa will be working remote from home. We will be sending her all of her clients returns as they come in or you can email them to her at [email protected]. We can also get you her address and phone numbers privately if anyone wants them. We once again know that this is not ideal for everyone, but it is safer for us all at this time. We look forward to offering you the best service we can for another great tax season. The Internal Revenue Service announced that the nation's tax season will start on Monday, January 24, 2022, when the tax agency will begin accepting and processing 2021 tax year returns.

The IRS encourages everyone to have all the information they need in hand to make sure they file a complete and accurate return. Having an accurate tax return can avoid processing delays, refund delays and later IRS notices. This is especially important for people who received advance Child Tax Credit payments or Economic Impact Payments (American Rescue Plan stimulus payments) in 2021; you will need the amounts of these payments when preparing your tax return. The IRS is mailing special letters to recipients, and you can also check amounts received on IRS.gov.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. We wanted to touch base with everyone and let you know how we will be handling tax returns this season. We are once again going to be doing drop offs, email and fax of your 2021 returns. If you still have not dropped off your taxes to us you need to do so ASAP. Deadline is next Monday the 17th.

The filing deadline for tax year 2020 has been extended until May 17th. We are still processing many returns by date they are dropped off or emailed to us. Time frame is still running 3-4 weeks for all preparers. We will call you as soon as your return is completed. We continue to thank you all for your patience with us during this tax season. We are working as quickly as we can to get all of your returns done for you. We are running 3 weeks. Please be patient WE will call you as soon as they are completed. Calling us to check on them every week is only taking us away from getting things done. This is not ideal for any of us and we know that, I promise you we are all working as fast as we can.
