See those teeth?? Scout has been trained to avoid injury, but this iguana got the better of him and gnashed his nose before Scout subdued him.

Green iguanas have up to about 120 razor-sharp teeth. These teeth are designed to shred their plant-based diet but can also cause significant damage if they bite in defense. Their teeth are pleurodont, meaning they are attached to the jawbone, making them quite effective.
