Tom is close friends with Elton John drummer, Nigel Olsson, and has recorded songs and episodes of his Greatest Music of All Time Podcast with Elton John guitarist, Davey Johnstone, and has even met Sir Elton himself, the man who Tom credits with helping him recover from alcoholism. The level of attention to detail in recreating the music and fabulous costumes of Elton John & His Band is simply unparalleled.
Tom learned to play the piano during the Covid-19 lockdowns as a way of staying sober, inspired by Elton John himself. Tom played his first "Tom's Elton Tribute" concert in January of 2022 at the Carrollton Station in New Orleans, Louisiana. He developed his act in Nashville, Tennessee, with residencies at the Players Inn, a dive bar in Bellevue. By May 2023 he was playing to 1,500 people at McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre in Texas. He then toured the world performing as his alter ego, Sir Eltom John. Tom's touring as a live singer and piano player has encompassed performances in every single state of America and hundreds of concerts at iconic venues all over the world. This includes shows at Carnegie Hall, Casino Estoril, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Liverpool Philarmonic Hall, Bristol Beacon, New Theatre Oxford, Emerson Colonial Theatre, The Granada Theatre Santa Barbara, The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, Perot Theatre, Sioux City Orpheum, Louisville Memorial Auditorium, Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo, Scottsdale Performing Arts Center, Sunrise Theatre, Vibra São Paulo and Vivo Rio, and, as of February, the Lofte Community Theatre!
