Got a busy couple of weeks coming up in Pocahontas. Between swim lessons for my kids, Fair & Heritage Days, and RAGBRAI coming through town as an overnight stop, my office hours will be limited some. Anyone looking for a somewhat last-minute trip to Las Vegas? I found Des Moines to Las Vegas Sunday, May 8th-Friday, May 13th, nonstop flights for 2 people, seats together, 2 carry-on bags and a king room at the Excalibur. Currently only $753.22 total!

Well, Powhatan Travel has moved to its new permanent location at 229 N Main St (formerly Quilting on Main site). Still have some things to move and organize and still fighting with the phone company. Nothing can be easy these days.
Saturday morning, I came down with a fever and some other symptoms from which I have still not recovered from. Try as I might to get myself up and going this morning, my body flat out told me no. Unfortunately, the office will be closed until I feel well enough to return to work. Sorry for the inconvenience as I know there are some of you waiting to hear back from me. I do apologize; however, I'm doing the best I can. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

We have been having moving issues with the phone and internet company since last week. If you've tried calling the office, you may not be getting through. To all of those who have continued to support this agency through ownership change, covid challenges, and more covid challenges--thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. To say this first year of ownership has been anything short of challenging and frustrating would be a lie. But in spite of it all, this has been such a rewarding experience for me. Not only have I renewed my own sense of adventure and love of travel, but I've also connected with so many wonderful people along the way. Happy Holidays and Happy Travels!

Powhatan Travel Service will be closed next Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day. Also, beginning next week I will be following new summer hours, M-F 8:30 am-3:00 pm. My kids have several activities planned throughout summer, so it's not a bad idea to call ahead if you plan to stop in the office. Please know that I am always available via email or Messenger, and often work from home on evenings and weekends to accommodate clients. Thank you for your continued business!
