A travelers worst nightmare is leaving their valuables behind. This recently happened to our guest and I am proud to say that our cleaning crew found all the items and returned them. Needless to say we got 5 stars on our review!

The hardest part about running a short term rental is finding a cleaning crew you can trust. I am am happy to say that both our cleaning crews are reliable and trust worthy!

Lost and Found Statistics

According to lost and found statistics and a recently conducted survey, 60% of Americans have lost a personal item in the past year.

The most commonly lost items are cell phones, followed by keys, wallets, and sunglasses.

The average person spends 2.5 days a year looking for lost items, according to the survey.

33% of lost items are never recovered, according to a study conducted by Kensington, a computer accessories company.

The busiest time of year for lost and found departments is during the holiday season, with a 25% increase in lost items compared to the rest of the year.

According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in 2019, travelers left behind $926,030.44 in loose change at airport security checkpoints in the United States.

The most common items left on public transportation are umbrellas, followed by phones, keys, and wallets.

In the United Kingdom, the most commonly lost item reported to the police is a set of keys, followed by a wallet/purse and a mobile phone, according to a study conducted by Churchill Home Insurance.

The National Park Service reports an average of 1,200 lost hikers per year, with 98% of those hikers being found within 24 hours.

In Japan, the most commonly lost item is an umbrella, with over 5 million umbrellas left behind each year.

Home Sweet Home! 🏕️

This was our first camping experience and we loved it. I highly recommend if you are a first time camper. You are close to all amenities and to your car! The staff was friendly and professional. We had no phone service; it was nice to disconnect.

Mornings with mimosas. Light, fresh and festive. 🥰

Ingredients
🍾Champagne, prosecco, or cava, chilled
🍊orange juice
🍓Strawberries

Instructions
Pour the sparkling wine into the Champagne flutes, filling each glass about half full. Pour the orange juice on top to fill each glass and serve. Garnish with strawberries

🤫We used Finke's Demi-sec Sparkling White Wine. Try it, you won’t regret it! 😉

Our guests had a blast playing paintball. They were amazed at the variety of fields they had to play in.

They have 7 fields to play in that have bunkers, bridges, forts, and pathways.

You can also rent all the equipment you need. Gun, Hopper, Goggles, Paintballs, Chest Protectors, Neck Protectors, and Boot Rentals.

Not into paintball? They have something for nearly everyone, such as Woodsball, Speedball, Airsoft and Gel Blasters.

It’s a ton of fun and only 25 minutes from the cottage.
