Exciting breaking news!! Two ways for Canadians or U.S. Mainlanders to get to Kauai - eff Jan 5th!

LIHU‘E — Those traveling from a neighbor island to Kaua‘i will soon be able to bypass the quarantine by using the state’s Safe Travels program beginning Tuesday, Jan. 5.

Canadians departing from Alberta can now travel to Hawaii, being pre-tested at the airport by WestJet or Air Canada. Although it’s only in Alberta currently, it’s open to all Canadians

Hawaii has pre-testing available now for Japanese visitors. Soon Canada will be included. Sources say they are "working" on it!

Gov. David Ige today set Oct. 15 as the new date to launch a pre-arrivals testing program to reopen tourism in Hawaii.

It’s worth the bumpy drive in your rental car to check out this beach. No worries with the rental cars btw - just do it!

Polihale is the most western publicly accessible area in Hawai'i, although the privately owned island of Ni'ihau is further west. The park is miles from the town of Kekaha, and it can only be reached via a poorly marked, dirt sugarcane road, making a four-wheel drive vehicle preferable. The beach is several miles long, yet only the area known as "Queen's Pond" offers safe swimming. Enjoy the Windex water!
