Surrounded with incredible mountain views, these charming rustic cabins are located at the west entrance to Glacier National Park in the remote North Fork of the Flathead Valley.
Langton Lodge provides these cozy off-grid mountain cabins that are situated in the ideal vacation spot to experience the untouched lands of the North Fork area and Glacier National Park, yet enjoy the conveniences of home after a fun day of adventure seeking.
Each cabin sleeps 4 people comfortably and offers a phone, full bath, fully furnished kitchen, refrigerator, propane range/oven, living area, dining area, etc.
There is running 'on demand' hot water and a generator for electricity. The ambiance is superb with the warmth of quaint propane lamps providing light each night.
The cabins are convenient to many North Fork attractions including The Polebridge Mercantile, Northern Lights Saloon/Restaurant and Glacier National Park. The Mercantile provides groceries, fresh ground coffee and home baked treats (Danish, bread and sandwiches, etc,) gifts, gas, propane, film, fishing tackle and beer while the Northern Lights Saloon/Restaurant serves excellent food in a rustic style restaurant and pub.
Glacier National Park is our neighbor and is rich in wildlife and offers plenty of outdoor adventure with boating, hiking, biking, fishing, and cross country skiing.
The cabins are identical in layout and amenities. Cabins #1 and #2 are located very near the Polebridge Mercantile, and have phones in each cabin that can be used with a calling card (incoming calls are free.)
Cabin #3 is more remote cabin located a little further north and offers the beautiful mountain views as well as the rippling sounds of the Flathead River. This cabin is a favorite of guests who enjoy completely unplugging and being surrounded by nature. Cabin #3 overlooks the North Fork of the Flathead River and has river access for fishing.
These cabins are remote in nature -- and by design. Guests only have to bring their food and remember to pack out what they pack in. This is bear country and any food related leftovers attract animals, so it’s very important to keep and leave everything as you found it, clean and free of any debris.
The roads to the cabins are unpaved mountain roads and are subject to potholes from the snow melt. We recommend coming in an SUV with high clearance or a truck, bring a can of Fix-A-Flat and bear spray just in case. To date, all guest encounters with wildlife have been pleasurable and wholesome, but we want our guests to fully understand that the wildlife are not pets, definitely not “pettable” and should be observed only from a very safe distance.
