Since next week will be a busy week for most--here is an update to prepare you for the December Meeting:

AND Please bring your Bolt Bags from the class to Show-n-Share!!

As announced in an earlier email, The Quilt Barn is closing. Beginning tomorrow, Monday, November 11. All merchandise is 40% off.
The Quilt Barn is located at 4152 W Coleman Rd, Ponca City OK
The hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday-Saturday
Telephone number 580-763-3475

Our Christmas Luncheon is December 2, please bring a covered dish to share with up to 10 people, bring a serving utensil, and the recipe. We'll eat at 11:30.

During our Christmas Luncheon we are going to have a Fat Quarter drawing of Christmas fat quarters as a Fundraiser. For every fat quarter of Christmas fabric you enter, you also enter $1.00. The money stays with PAQG and the Fat Quarters will be as drawing/s. Depending on how many people participate will determine how many drawings. Just as an FYI -- There is BEAUTIFUL Christmas fabric at the Quilt Barn on sale at 40% off.

Please see Cindy Russell and pick up your fundraising tickets. Our Fundraising prizes this year are fantastic, First Place is a Quilt, Second Place is a Bolt Bag filled with goodies, and Third place is a Brother P-touch. Pictures will be sent out soon. The prizes are great and that makes it easy to sell chances. We will fill the Bolt Bag like we did last year. Again, be thinking about what you would like to donate to help fill the Bolt Bag while you are at the 40% off sale at the Quilt Barn.

January is our "Charity Sew Day." For those of you who have a favorite charity you would like to sew for, please do so. If you would like to try something new, please consider making a Storybook Quilt, which will be donated to the Ponca City Library's Children's Library. Here are the guidelines:
1. Select a book you would like to turn into a quilt. The quilt does not have to be an exact duplicate of the book's illustrations, just an interpretation of it.
2. There are several books which the library has suggested and are on loan to us. These will be at the next few meetings. If you are interested in one of these books, please sign up for that book. You may borrow that book, if you like.
3. You may quilt any book you like, shooting for toddler to age 8 range. If the library doesn't have that book, you may want to donate the book to accompany the quilt. Please write down on the sign up sheet your name and the title of the book you want to do, so that we don't have duplicates.
4. The quilt should be about 3 feet square. There should be no choking hazard embellishments, but soft embellishments, like embroidery, rick rack, etc. are fine.
5. The quilt should be ready to turn in at our May luncheon. It can be quilted or tied.
6. There may be an optional challenge for those interested. Details will follow.

In addition: January will be our Bring Your Stuff and Get Rid of It Day. Stuff can be snagged to be used on any charity quilt. Further details later.

And finally: those coming to sew on Charity Day will be fed! More details to come.
