Can you ID this noxious w**d? Chaffee County Noxious W**d Program will host a w**d walk Wednesday, July 24 at 5:30pm, starting at the Marvin Park parking lot off Sackett Street in Salida. Learn to ID and treat cheatgrass, kochia and other invasive w**ds and learn about native plants to restore w**d infested areas.

No registration necessary! Plan 1.5 hours for a 1 mile walk.

It’s a beautiful day for the county shooting sports contest! Huge thanks to our friends at the Tri Lazy W for allowing us to use their property.

Our 4-H’ers are competing in muzzleloading, .22 pistol, archery, shotgun, and .22 rifle this year. Top placers from this contest may advance to the State shooting sports contest in August. Way to go!
