Thoughts on my first hurricane in the Florida house.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who lost anything in the storm. The loss of life and property damage is a sobering reminder of nature's power over us.
I was fascinated by the shear power of the storm even with the eye of the storm being on the othe side of Florida.
Seeing mother nature unleash her furry can be frightening yet beautifully at the same time. The ocean is beautiful with the fury of the waves, the sound of the wind, intermittent rain squalls and ever changing clouds. Wave upon wave of water from both the sea and the sky.
I was amazed how only one death was reported so far. How quickly Florida repaired the electrical outage in my area.
It was nice to know the hurricane was coming several days in advance and to track it through the media so I could calculate the risks of staying.
I chose to stay and enjoy watching nature unleash her fury before my eyes.
