Texas SandFest is right around the corner! 💙

Here are a few frequently asked questions to help you be prepared for this sand-tastic event:
🏖️ Are there kids' activities? Yes, most of which occur at the South entrance in the Kids' Corner. This includes Lesson Mountain, face painting, fun games, and much more!
☀️ Where is SandFest located? On the beach between markers 13 and 17. The North gate entrance is at marker 13 and the South gate entrance is located at marker 17.
🏖️ Are there places to sit and rest in the shade? Yes, at the main beer tent, the music tent, near logo mountain at the North gate, and by the Kids' Corner at the South gate.
☀️ Can you bring folding chairs or a beach umbrella? Yes, folding chairs are permitted as long as they do not block pedestrian traffic. Beach umbrellas and other shade structures are not permitted.
🏖️ Can you bring a cooler or ice chest? No. Outside ice chests and coolers are not permitted. Outside alcohol is also not permitted, but will be available for purchase within the event grounds. You may bring in water, which is also available for purchase.

A good number of folks on board took turns reeling in the huge beast. The rod broke at one point, and the fish then reportedly was hand-leadered in.
Meat from the fish was divided up among 14 customers who were on board the vessel.
Port Aransas fishing news can be seen in the South Jetty newspaper every week. The print edition is sold at stores all over town, and the web version can be seen at www.portasouthjetty.com.
