“What in the world is this?”

This is one of our favorite questions. Many of the rangers and volunteers at Padre Island National Seashore are avid beachcombers themselves. So, if you find something interesting on the beach but don’t know what it is, bring it to the info desk for identification! The info desk is located inside the park store at the Malaquite Visitor Center. If you can’t stop by in person, send us a picture of what you found on Facebook. The weirder, the better. Just make sure you’re not removing any living critters from their home!

The info desk is currently open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
