Our Story

Five vintage cabins that lend themselves to large groups or small. Plenty of outdoor seating and cooking areas provided. A large common area for the kids to stretch out and play in while you sit back on the porch overlooking them and relax a spell. Whether it is just your family, a large family reunion or just a great group of friends you will find your own home away from home in the comfort of the Dancing Dunes and you just might make some new friends along the way.

Our 5 cabins were the original Buccaneer Cottages in Port A on Hwy 361 built in the 1950’s. We moved them to our property in 2000 and refurbished all inside and out. Although the original structures survived Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 we had significant damage inside the cabins due to flooding. We spent 10 months completely refurbishing all of our cabins and opened back up for business in June 2018. This could not have been possible without the help and commitment of hundreds of volunteers and friends. It was truly a labor of Love!

We hope you have the chance to come stay and enjoy our beautiful piece of paradise. We pride ourselves on giving you that individual attention and service to help make your stay the best it can be.
