y are in beach access communities. Port Aransas is located on a barrier Island and is accessible by 24 hr free ferry or the causeway. This unique town began in the 1880’s as a sleepy little fishing village and has blossomed into one of the best family vacation beach destinations in Texas. Port Aransas has 8 miles of wide unspoiled beaches protected by a line of naturally forming sand dunes. Our location on the Gulf Stream makes for just right temperatures and year round fun. Try your hand at surfing, shop in our many stores and boutiques, catch all types of fish at one of the best fishing places along the Gulf Coast, spend an afternoon teeing off at our first class golf course, find shells in the sand, or just grab a lawn chair and commune with the ocean and experience Island Time for yourself. All our rentals are self catering and offer no maid service during the stay. We supply the start up supply of paper products. You will need to purchase or bring garbage bags, paper towels, coffee filters and bath tissue, as well as dish washing soaps and bath soaps and laundry soap. For your convenience there is a grocery store on the Island and a Wal-Mart in Aransas Pass and an HEB Plus in Flour Bluff. Some of our properties may have COMMUNITY POOLS & HOT TUBS: Swimming Pools are not heated. Community Pools, Hot Tubs and Common grounds are not maintained by Starkey Properties, so we have no control over general upkeep, speed of repairs and overall maintenance. If there is a problem, please contact our office and we will report it to the on-site manager. Starkey Properties can not guarantee what condition the Pool or Hot Tub may be in however we do make every effort to provide you accurate information about these amenities both on our web site and at time of booking. All our properties are fully furnished with bed and bath linens, you will need to bring your own beach towels. We do not offer daily towel service but many of our units have washers and dryers. All kitchens are equipped with pots, pans and dishes, and large & small appliances. Any specialty items you wish to cook with you will need to bring with you.
