I’ve seen countless pictures the last 2 days of complete destruction beyond my imagination. Lord, give them the strength and faith to rebuild. I pray that God will provide them the means in which to persevere amid a bleak situation.❤️
I am thankful and feel blessed that Villa Luke only sustained amenity damage. The condo itself is fine and I just have to make sure the A/C works, WiFi operational, etc. These are pictures of the damages sustained in our community.

This is another owners photo from our bldg at 6:18 tonight. Landfall in Sarasota at 8:31. Yikes! We still had 5-6’ to go. Won’t know the outcome until Friday at the earliest. Whew! That was a doosey!

In the event of a tornado, where we live, we have maybe 15 minutes to “hunker down”. It doesn’t happen as often here. Of course, election year, we’re a blue state 😠so they’re not so interested in destroying us rocks and cows.

The people. That’s what’s on my mind. The people in Florida. We have beloved family there, many friends and countless acquaintances. I pray God’s hands are on them all, providing shelter from this hurricane.
Villa Luke is just a structure that is equipped to handle a quite a bit and it’s insured if not. Things can be repaired and/or rebuilt, people can’t.
My amazing guests opted to evacuate today and get back home to sure safety and family. I’m glad they did what was best for them and I sincerely hope they can come visit again,.. God willing Villa Luke is still standing strong.

: Tropical Storm has formed in the Gulf of Mexico Saturday afternoon. Expect it to impact Florida on Wednesday as a hurricane. Sending prayers to our neighbors who sustained considerable damage from Hurricane Helene. We wish we could be there to help everyone.
Villa Luke was extremely fortunate to have escaped harm! Thank you Lord! Some of the outdoor amenities will need some repair, but very minor in the scope of the storm.
Family stopped by over the weekend to inspect for damages. Our awesome HOA was already working on the aftermath cleanup.
