About The Role:
Located in Deer Park, Texas, our Craft Hiring Center is an office dedicated exclusively to the hiring and onboarding of our hourly craft workforce for our jobsites in the Houston area. In this role, you will work closely with the Onboarding Coordinator in the office to ensure all new hires are processed efficiently and accurately.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone with strong people skills and an attention to detail and accuracy to learn aspects of Human Resources and Recruiting. The role requires an individual who can work in a sometimes fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time. In this role, some of your tasks will include the following…
•Greet candidates as they enter the lobby and assist in answering basic questions
•Assist candidates with electronic onboarding and oversee/monitor computer-based training conducted in the Hiring Center
•Schedule offsite drug testing and other training as required
•Setup and maintain electronic employee files
•Interface with Operations Managers (heavy email and phone communication) on the status of all candidates in the hiring process as well as communications with candidates, Payroll Department and other Hiring Center team members
•Maintenance of requisition spreadsheet (Excel)
•Accurately setup employee in payroll system (Paylocity) once all onboarding is complete

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
•Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience in an administrative support role in Human Resources in the industrial market and who have exposure to onboarding employees, maintaining employee records and forms such as I-9, direct deposit, etc., scheduling pre-employment drug testing and safety training
•High school diploma or equivalent required (bachelor's degree in HR or related field would be a plus)
•Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems (Paylocity)
•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
•Organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
•Dependable, timely attendance (this position is based in Deer Park, Texas so candidates within reasonable commuting distance to this area of Houston are preferred)
•A Team Player with a “roll up your sleeves attitude” willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. No drama
•Positive, professional and friendly demeanor
