Our final resort tour was The Grand Floridian. This resort is the deluxe of the deluxe. You are transported back into the turn of the century with beautiful details, top of the line dining choices, transportation to Magic Kingdom by monorail, boat or a beautiful walking trail, and views that are unmatched. The main building houses concierge level rooms and the grounds have multiple buildings that are named for different islands found in the Florida Keys. These rooms have also been renovated and include many more nods to Disney, particularly Mary Poppins. We have stayed here once and would definitely stay again. One thing you’ll notice in the refreshment area of the room you’ll see actual coffee cups and drinking glasses. Deluxe resorts have many upscale touches that make your stay more comfortable. There are many different types of rooms, and it is part of the Disney Vacation Club with a new section of DVC rooms now available. There is also a beautiful wedding venue that can be rented for your wedding needs. If you are ready for a luxury getaway, let me know!

Resort four took us to a Disney Deluxe Resort. We visited The Boardwalk. I absolutely love this area! There is an actual Boardwalk like you would find right on the Jersey shore. There’s bike rentals, food vendors, games, a piano bar and some epic places to eat. There’s a beautiful lake and a walking path that connects you to The Beach Club Resort and Yacht Club Resort also which adds more excellent dining experiences. Here you are about a 5 minute walk to the back entrance of Epcot with both Skyliner and boat transportation available also. Deluxe resorts do include perks such as Early Entry or late night park hours and the availability to purchase the new Premium Lightening Lane passes.
Full disclosure we have also stayed here and I wasn’t sure how I felt about the rooms. But I am so glad they included this resort in our tour because the renovated rooms are incredible! I would love to give this resort another try.
The interior theming is a Boardwalk feel. There is a chandelier that’s a Carousel, a model wooden rollercoaster, really strange fun house type chairs, and an homage to Lucy the Elephant. The rooms are big on Silhouettes, and romantic era characters. The resort includes regular room choices and is also a Disney Vacation Club property. Things at Disney are always changing and I love these new improvements!

My third resort stop was Coronado Springs. I was actually staying there for the third time in a month so it’s obviously a favorite of ours. The resort is divided into 2 parts. The older area is an outdoor extravaganza. There are 3 areas of rooms, The Casistas, Ranchos, and Cabanas. Each area is unique in theming and they all revolve around a beautiful water area and connected by 3 bridges The pool area is an impressive Mayan temple complete with water slide.
We focused on the newest addition call Grand Destino Tower. For a moderate resort, the tower adds a deluxe feel. The tower is stunning and has elements that combine Walt Disney and his collaboration with Salvador Dali. The rooms are updated and elegant. The artwork is very elegant with many nods to Dali, the elevator is innovative and the restaurants are unmatched for food and views.
There is also a convention center which does stay very busy but it is not intrusive to your visit. It is definitely a 5 Star in our book. Need more information? Let me know.

My second resort tour was Art of Animation. This resort was originally supposed to be an extension of Pop Century which is located next door. It was supposed to be Pop Century Legendary years. But things change and the resort became AOA. There are standard rooms themed in The Little Mermaid and there are amazing Family Suites themed as Cars, Lion King and Finding Nemo. The entire resort is themed around these 4 Disney films. This is actually on of the best overall themed resorts on property. From the artwork in the lobby to the larger than life figures throughout the areas, to the pools this is an excellent choice for families. The suites included a mini refrigerator, microwave, sleeping for 6 and two full bathrooms. (Yep that’s important!). The food court has a huge variety of food and the resort boasts one of the largest gift shops You also have the advantage of the Skyliner that wisks you to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Got questions?
