Owning a beach house is a blessing but it’s also a lot of work!
Rob, Myron and I have been very busy, during our work week, with numerous chores to get the house ready for our spring and summer guests.
Myron is our fix it guy and king of technology and touch up paint. He has painted numerous areas throughout the house, made sure all of our TV’s and streaming devices are working and tightened up screws on stools, curtain rods and numerous other items.
Rob is our dirty jobs guy, he degreased and removed rust from our two year old gas grill, cleaned the area rugs under the furniture, sharpened the knives, refilled the spices and cleaned and sealed the granite countertops.
I’ve trimmed all of the landscaping, hung the hummingbird feeders, painted the outdoor dining table, organized the kitchen, closets, books and games, washed all of the throw rugs and researched and ordered numerous things on Amazon.
As a team we have taken the sleeper sofa apart and washed the mattress covers, took the glass off the dining table and polished the wood and cleaned the glass, washed the curtains, washed bed skirts, replaced mattress pads, the shower curtains and shower rings.
Outdoors, we shoveled the boardwalk of extra sand and shoveled and blew off the Mobi mat down to the beach.
Additionally, we replaced the queen bed mattress and box springs, deck dining chairs and added privacy shutters on the North side of the upper deck and screened in porch.
We also hung our trophy fish over the downstairs elevator door that we have named “Wild Bill” in honor of our contractor who we have worked with for 20 years.
All of this work is so our guests can have an amazing vacation at A Tropical Breeze and make lifetime memories with their families.
