We have made our way into the Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people. This morning we did a hot air balloon safari and visited one of the villages..We saw so many, many amazing animals. Kenya is pretty magical

We have moved north now, to Lake Nakuralu, with a stay over on Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. One night at a lodge where zebra, giraffe, water buck, monkeys and hippos can be seen up close took a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, home to 100s of bird species and Hippo families. Took a nature walk on one of the islands before moving to the next lodge.

First two days in Kenya, and we are just getting started. Yesterday we visited an orphanage and to hear the stories of the.children💔 They are filled with hope and know that education is their way to break the cycle. They sang for us, spoke with such maturity and showed us what it means to be hopeful! Today we visited Nairobi National Park. The park was established in 1946, encompassing 45 sq miles. Nairobi is the only city in the world with a national park inside, it is just 4.3 miles from the city center.

Yesterday in Budapest there was a marathon taking place, we could watch it from the boat. Activities for the day included hiking to the Citadel a city tour and also a trip outside the city to the wine making region Eytek. After dinner we did an illumination cruise to see the magnificent Parliament of Budapest and the Castle hill lit up. We also found the Packer game😉

We have now arrived into the crown jewel of the Danube, Budapest. We had a stop in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia yesterday where one of the activities was a hike to the hilltop castle. Today's activities also include a hike to a hilltop citadel, or a wine tasting out in the countryside. We will spend one night on the boat here then 2 more at a riverside hotel.
