Here are a few shots I got of some Steller Sea Lions during our whale watching tour.

These are the largest of all sea lions. We came across these as we were traveling through the San Juan Islands.

Here are a few shots I took from our whale watching tour with Eagle Wings Tour Company out of Victoria, BC. These were shot with a 200-500mm lens so would have been hard to capture with anything else but a long telephoto lens.

Funny part is on our ferry ride back to Washington we saw an even larger whale which they say isn’t that common. Guess we got lucky.

One thing we can say though is the San Juan islands and the area surrounding them sure is beautiful.

Great day exploring Victoria BC. Have to admit we’ve really enjoyed our time here so far. We have no idea why it’s taken us so long to visit.

I tried Poutine for the first time. It was way better than it should have been. We visited Craigdarroch Castle which was really interesting. Finding the Beagle Pub though definitely brought back some great memories of our two Beagles. Great food and great beer.

Heading to Butchart Gardens tomorrow.

New video is live. Kim and I spent a fantastic weekend in beautiful Seattle. Did a few things on this trip we e never done before. We also went up the Space Needle. For a guy that doesn’t like heights that wasn’t too bad. With those kind of views you just have to suck it up. 😂

Some of my favorite shots from the Masters. Have to admit it lived up to all the hype. Beyond fortunate that I was able to experience it my dad and my brother.

The highlight was definitely Amen Corner. It was even more impressive in person than what you see on TV. How they do what they do to make that place look like it does will always baffle me.

I hope if you are a fan of the game that you too get to experience at some point in your life. You won’t be disappointed.

This was my favorite shot of Augusta. For those not familiar this is hole number 12 and is part of the famed Amen Corner. I have to admit my jaw dropped sitting in the stands and seeing this in person. This photo is not edited. What you see is exactly as we saw it. Yes it is that green and yes it is that beautiful.

Starting to fill up.

Kim and I were on a hike through Hoyt Arboretum in Portland. I stopped for a moment to take a photo of a nearby tree when all of a sudden I hear Kim whispering in excitement behind me. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying and for a moment thought maybe she spotted a cougar or something dangerous coming at us. I turned around to notice she was pointed right above my head and bouncing up and down like a kid. I looked up and there it was. The most beautiful owl I've ever seen just a few feet from me. It was so close I could almost touch it. I had been waiting for that moment for years. Hike after hike, mile after mile, year after year. It was truly a magical moment made all the more special because it was such a rare thing to see in nature especially at such a close distance. Lucky for me I had my camera so I could save the moment in time forever. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures. – Don McCullin
