Adios Catalonia and bem-vindo a (welcome to) Ponte de Lima, Portugal where I connected with Paulo from Portugal Green Walks, walked across the rio Lima with some other pilgrims on the Bom Caminho, visited the Toy museum and a locals gastronomical meal along the coast

Days 10-11~ Oct 2-3
We met up with yet another amazing guide, Wouter/Lucas for a coastal walk down from Calella de Palafrugell exploring the colorful, wild and unspoiled small coves of Costa Brava, walking past Iberian ruins…with time in the afternoon to enjoy the views and for a few to swim in the Mediterranean!

Day 9 - 01/10/24. From Pobla de Segur to Figueres and out to the coast “Another splendid day in Spain. 2 long bus rides brought us first to Dali’s museum and the restaurant where he met friends and family in Can Duran. The museum itself was totally designed by Dali himself. After a most interesting guided tour we got our second bus trip and ended at Calella, overlooking the Mediterranean in Costa Brava Another round of tapas and wine and a stroll through a picturesque beach town….” Fran Leyman calella_de_palafrugell

Day 8 ~ 30/09/24. A trip back through time as I fondly remember the host Mireia at Casa Leonardo Hotel and their delicious croissants 🥐 from 5 years ago…and I then reconnected and laughed with a few of the regulars still sitting in the same chairs as before drinking coffee…☕️ A guided walk after breakfast from Senterada with different options arranged to end up in La Pobla de Segur…a few took the day off, a few hiked up/around the spring fed lake Estany de Montcortes and back down to Senturada (another nearly 30K step day) Casa rural Casa Leonardo Hotel Eco Boutique Vall Fosca Pirineu Lleida

Day 7- 29/09/24. Guided walk of around 14km from Peramea to Plana de Mont-ros up to the most amazing vistas for a picnic lunch in a cattle 🐄 pasture with horses & vultures soaring, escorted the whole way by the sweet dog from casa_parramon…
A short transfer to Senterada, to casaleonardo Casa Leonardo where I was 5 years ago to the day!
