The City of Portsmouth glows this holiday season, thanks to the spirit of this community! On behalf of Mayor Becksted, thank you for decorating with such imaginations!. We are grateful to Seacoast Media Group as media sponsors and Ricci Lumber, Home Depot, and Lowe's for the $500 gift cards. Wear your boots and your biggest smiles, Santa brought his list to check once again before the big day!

Thank you to everyone in Portsmouth who decorated their residences for this extraordinary, challenging holiday season. You have brought light to the darkness and cheer to your neighbors! Also, thanks to the 76 residents who entered the Portsmouth Holiday Lights Contest - judging is now underway!! Judging runs until December 20th; Mayor Rick Becksted will announce winners at the December 21st City Council meeting. In the meantime, the map of entries is now available online!

On behalf of all at the Portsmouth Holiday Lights Contest, we'd like to thank everyone in our community who decorated their homes this holiday season. We are so impressed by the response to this effort to bring some extra shine to a really difficult time! Thank you. You make our city the incredible place it is to call home.

Judging runs from 12/12/ to 12/20, the map is coming soon!
