FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE UK
FREE HEALTHCARE SERVICES FOR ALL RESIDENTS The UK has free public healthcare services for all her residents. This was set up by the British government- the National Healthcare Service (NHS) in 1948, making healthcare accessible for everyone. This service is funded by income tax- So pay your TAX 😄
THE UK PUBLIC HOLIDAYS ARE DIFFERENT
The UK has fewer public holidays – or ‘Bank Holidays’, as it's mostly referred to. There is no celebration of Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Labor Day, or Columbus Day!
There are eight bank holidays in England and Wales, nine in Scotland, and ten in Northern Ireland.
To make up for fewer public holidays, most employers in the UK will reward you with plenty of paid time off to relax. In fact, almost all full-time workers in the UK are legally entitled to at least 28 days of paid annual leave
