Whether our films are destined for the web, festivals, events, or cinematic release the company’s founders, Catherine Stewart and Michael Rodriguez-Torrent, are at the heart of the process, working as producers, directors, journalists, cinematographers and everything else in between. This small company thrives on creativity and collaboration, however, so talented and skilled individuals are often
brought on board to meet the needs of any given project. Always eager to learn new skills, develop knowledge, and share their experience, they encourage other creatives to connect with Film Unbound in order to explore future opportunities. It’s this fostering of creative community that led to the creation of Film Unbound’s regular short film screening series, Portsmouth Short Film Night. Held in a variety of venues throughout 2013, these screenings have brought local and international filmmakers together with moviegoers to share work at various stages of development. Excited by the response that they’ve received from this series, Catherine and Michael are currently planning future unique cinema-going experiences for 2014. At the heart of every piece of their work, regardless of the genre, the format or the destination, is a great story. And it’s great stories that drive Catherine and Michael as artists, and Film Unbound as a company. There is always a story to be told, whether true or fictional, well-known or unheard -- their story or yours. And it’s in finding the best way to tell that story that Film Unbound thrives.
