Nomad Running Tours is the culmination of a 10-year friendship between a travel addict and running maniac. Joe has visited over 30 countries, and Chris has logged over 40 marathons. But until last year, Joe had never run a marathon, and Chris had never left the continent. So it was over a casual conversation, shortly before Joe left for a year in Europe, that a bargain was struck to combine their two passions: Chris would book a ticket to Paris if Joe would run the marathon with him.
So after months of training, they lined up on the Champs Elysees on a beautiful spring morning, surrounded by 50,000 other runners. A few hours later, their race was complete and a big bottle of champagne was emptied.
Not long after, a conversation started about the "next race" and the "next adventure" (Spoiler: It was Copenhagen 6 weeks later!), and from that experience a much grander plan was hatched, and the embakred on a much grander adventure than either had originally envisioned: Nomad Running Tours.
Running any race, your race, is an achievement. And travel is pure enlightenment. But running your race in a world destination is a truly an enlightening achievement, well-deserving of the cliché term “bucket list”. What better way for Joe and Chris to share their passions and adventures than to help others experience it as well?
