Not many pics from last week but did four trips and most of them pretty dang good. Catching lots of fish most days although I did have one day last week where we really hit a wall and had to work way too hard for less than a limit.
Here’s the only pics I managed to get from last week
This week gonna be even better as the fish are starting to come back from the spawn.
I did one top water trip early last week and only landed a few but had about a dozen blow ups.
Shad are spawning and the top water bite oughta improve in the next week or so.
Only a few days left open in May but do still have openings in June and July.

Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. Just been too dang busy.
March is over and things are really firing up on Texoma.
Big male fish have really been putting on a show this week. Lots of overs and big box fish , fat and ready to spawn.
Been having pretty fast action this week and will continue to get better and better as the water continues to warm
I may even try posting some pics lol

Just now had tomorrows trip cancel if anyone is wanting to get in on some fall fishing. Looks like great weather and fishing has been Very good
Just love loosing a prime time day with inadequate notice

We’ll it’s been a while since I’ve posted any reports. With being sick most of sept and very busy fishing , dealing with weddings and running the ranch in October I seriously Just haven’t had time.
I was able to fish only 2 days in sept due having covid and then turning to phnumonia most of the month.
Went back to fishing the beginning of Oct and for the most part Oct fishing was better than normal. Most trips we had pretty fast action and never really experienced the lull which usually happens when the lake turns over.
It’s now November and Ive been back at it hot and heavy for the last 4 weeks and fall fishing has started off very good. The seagulls are back in force and leading the way to great schools of fish feeding hard.
Live bait most days is a slam dunk but throwing swim baits is also a very effective way to catch a bunch this time of year
We’ve been catching some real nice fish lately and it’s only gonna keep getting better as the water continues to cool off
As the water Gets down close to 50 degrees the deadsticking bite will start to turn on which is usually around early to mid December
I’ve got a few days open still in November and December so book your trips now while there are still some good dates open.
I’ll Try to post reports more often if I can find the time 🙂

300 brand new horses on the back. Took two days for Wild bills to install !
Brought it home for some more minor repairs and major cleaning then be back on the water next week to break it in and then it’s back to work 🙂 been a nice break for the last couple weeks , but now momma needs money to pay the bills 🙂 vacations over.
Still have plenty of open dates for the remainder of august and later in the fall.

Well haven’t posted any reports in the last two weeks mostly cuz I haven’t been fishing.
Blew my motor up two weeks ago and wasn’t sure if I was gonna get a new boat or a new motor. I even contemplated retiring , but Found the boat I wanted but man the cost of new boats has just gotten ridiculous!! So now I’ve decided to just put a new motor on my boat and be done .. hoping to have it mounted by early next week and then I’ll be back to working for now. Still contemplating retirement.
I’ve got plenty of open dates from mid august thru the rest of the month and still alot of openings for the fall.
This was my last trip out a couple weeks ago lol

Had my old friend Dean Yates and his crew today. Saw very little top water action so we had to get all our fish on slabs today.
It was a grind and we worked hard but we ended up with a nice box of fish.
It took the guys a few minutes to get the hang of slabbing but once they did we fish them steadily all morning.
Once again had to bump around a lot to stay with the fish as they are moving very fast
Traffic was as light as I’ve seen it since the winter months 🙂

Helped on a group trip for Doug Keeter yesterday.
All slabs and top waters.
Started off catching some on top but got tired of dealing with the crowds so went to my “secret “ spot from the day before and there were only about 40 boats there lololol
Started slabbing and ended up all three boats got limits
Fish were moving fast. Easy to find and hard to stay with. We would find em and catch 2-3 then have to move and find em again. Lot of bouncing around but all in all a decent day
Weekend off !!!!!!!! Then back to work on Monday
It’s July and I don’t do weekends in the summer time 🙂

Well I said I wasn’t going to the big boat show today and I didn’t. We found fish early by ourselves and then when the boats found me we found em again without a boat in sight and caught fish all morning until Arthur and Wade had enough.
I took a video of us showing zero boats in sight but won’t post it until after my trip tomorrow as to not give up my spot 🙂
Then y’all can invade it over the weekend lol
I’m sure there will be a new boat show after I post our video lol

Had a good day today with Ethan and Shawn.
Started off catching some on top water plugs then switched over to bait when I couldn’t handle the rude ass crowds running over the fish like idiots
Something about fish surfacing that just turns people into complete idiots.
I’m sitting outside the boat show bait fishing and boats are buzzing by me less than ten feet away and then can’t understand why I’m glaring at them and not waving back when they wave 🙂
I’ve been doing this 23 years now and have had it with these ass hole rude people. Other guides and weekenders. Doesn’t matter. They are all the same.
Guides complain about weekenders and weekenders complain about guides.
Well I complain about all of em 🙂
My retirement can’t come soon enough.
Hopefully it comes before I go postal on some of these fools.
Everyone go to the bluffs between Eisenhower and grandpappy point.
That’s where the run has been and I ain’t gonna be there tomorrow so go have at it.
I’ll be somewhere else 🙂

I have a plan for tomorrow and won’t include that area ( I hope )

I did manage to get away from there after a couple hours and find fish elsewhere !!

Not sure I wanna play with all the boats on the slab / top water runs so Shad gonna be my backup to stay away from the crowds

Wow it’s been a very very busy May and June for me.
Finally I have a few days off over the holiday weekend and will be back to work starting on the 5 th.

I’m amazed at the number of calls and emails I have gotten over the last three days of people wanting to fish this weekend.
Sorry but I’m just not gonna do trips on holiday weekends. It’s not worth dealing with the traffic and the crowds
I hate to say it but anyone who wants to work is gonna be booked on this short of notice and anyone who doesn’t , we’ll Just isn’t gonna do it 🙂
My sanity Jist won’t let me tolerate the crowds on busy weekends.
Have a safe holiday and see ya back out there next week

A few pics from today. Another very good day on the lake. Fish are starting to move fast and except for one short run on anchor for the first hour, we had to hop scotch and run and gun to keep up with em but it was pretty easy following em
Got on a couple good runs and one lasted for about 5 miles. Just get on em…. Catch a few then move up ahead of em and catch a few more etc ….
Traffic was pretty bad today and gonna keep getting worse but at least today it didn’t effect the fishing. Jist my attitude 🙂
Just fyi …. The big guy with the beard Malic Poole is now 29 years old. I’ve known and fished with him back when he was 10-12 years old.
That fish he is holding is a 24 inch fish and he makes it look small lol
Last time I saw him he didn’t have any whiskers 🙂 and I was still taller than him

Bill and his daughter Kirsten , the smiles at the end of the morning says it all.
Non stop action today for two solid hours and we left em biting. Had a nice box of fish for them to take home and released a bunch of overs.
Best action I’ve had in a month
It’s been a very busy couple months and I finally got three days off now to rest but this was a great trip to end my long run on for sure 🙂

Well my busy week is starting to fall apart. Had cancelations for tomorrow and Thursday and Sunday if anyone is wanting to get out and go fishing.

Fished from about 6:30-9:30 and only boated 6 overs. Kinda slow start but after moving to shallower water we hit the anchor lock and from 9:30-10:30 it was fast and furious action and finally filled out our 5 man limit. 44 fish in that last hour and they were still biting when we left 🙂
That last spot was gonna be my first spot until I got a call that they were jumping in the boat , so I went phone fishing. I knew better than to run after someone else’s fish that they had already ready caught cuz it had died down by the time I got there. Now tomorrow gonna let the weather dictate where we are able to get to first.
First day of another 12 day run . If it’s not raining tomorrow I’ll try and get some pics
