DO NOT FORCE THE HEALING

Do not force the healing, my love.

Healing is always unforced.

It happens when the conditions are right.
When there is just enough love, attention, presence, slowness, trust.

When you aren't trying to heal.
When you aren't trying to awaken.
When you aren't "trying" at all.
When you open your arms wide to the Now.
Fall to the ground.
Let yourself feel the rage, the grief, the loneliness.
Let yourself break. Let yourself feel worse, if you need to feel worse.
Speak your raw truth. Upset some people. Bring others closer.

But don't force yourself, my love.
You have to let go of the result, the agenda, the goal.
And infuse your 'unhealed' experience with love.
Drench your pain, your sorrow, your longing with warm awareness.
Saturate the moment with yourself.

You have to create the conditions for healing,
but you cannot do it.

The ego will rebel at this news.
Your heart will rejoice.

Mysterious forces, ancient and unspeakable, do the healing.

You only
have to get out
of the way.

I know this post is a little out of character for me, but I feel such an urgency to DO SOMETHING and I can’t think of a better way than through my social media feed to reach out.

I’m sure many of you may be “on the fence” or “fed up” or too irritated or burned out to give your attention to politics right now. You may feel like your vote doesn’t even matter. BUT PLEASE, this Election is only 19 days away -- and it truly is an election that will change America.

Think about what this means. Our votes can help America change for the better. Not voting or voting carelessly can make our lives and our country unimaginably worse. I know most people don’t have time or even an interest in reading or listening or staying informed these days. I’ve been doing it for you! ~~smile~~ And what I’ve been learning is frightening!

We cannot do nothing at this moment in history. Our families, our children and grandchildren need us now! We cannot allow a cognitively impaired man win this election. I’m doing everything I can to make sure Kamala Harris is our next President and that she has the support of Congress to strengthen our laws and our freedoms. Please please join me! Share my post on your own feed. Get registered to vote AND make it happen! It's totally up to us.

Hi! If you know me at all, you know that for many years I've been creating and developing small groups who love and use the Enneagram.

However, you may not know that these days I'm trying my best to help elect Kamala and Tim to the White House and to support Democrats who are running in down ballot elections in crucial states.

One of the things I'm doing personally is to write letters to voters using the Vote Forward tool that makes it easy, very satisfying and even Fun! This election on November 5th either take us into the future with honesty and competence or it will take us into a darker future where our voices no longer matter.

I'm thinking about the problem that we find ourselves in today regarding the presidential election...here is a very simple 2-part question, a litmus test if you will...
"What is the former President and his campaign hoping for? Are they hoping President Biden will step aside and open the field or are they hoping he will not?"
What do you think?

Personally, in case you're wondering, I'm pretty darn sure they think they can win against Biden in spite of his excellent first term and they're probably right.

ENDING THE WAR

When you’re not happy in yourself, you focus on how others are deficient.
When you’re not centred, you focus on how others are off-centre.
If you run from your own faults, you’ll see faults everywhere you look.

THEY are unconscious. THEY are unaware. THEY are wrong.

THEY are dumb, stupid, blind.

THEY worship the wrong God. Think the wrong thoughts. Feel the wrong feelings.
They need to be stopped. Changed. Transformed. Destroyed.
And it’s your job to teach them. Or punish them. Or save them.
Or shock them out of their ignorance.
Or even kill them, to find relief.

You become judgemental, critical. You try to stop the “ignorant ones” having their experience, being who they are.
You start to play God. Or the guru. The expert. The “One Who Knows”.
You suppress your vulnerability. Your own shame.
Your doubts. Your imperfections.
Your faults.
You focus on the imperfection of the “other”, and ignore your own shortcomings.
You separate yourself from the great river of humanity.
You think that controlling others will bring you relief, relaxation, peace.

“When they change, I’ll rest!”

This is the great lie, and the beginning of all war.

Controlling others can never, ever bring about inner peace.

IT CAN ONLY CREATE POWERLESSNESS.

End the war. Look within:
