What you can't see here is the river just a few feet away through the wall of windows, the geese nesting and the deer on its banks. The sound of the canadian wood stove and warmth of radiant heat under your feet. The forest embraces you in peace. That's why we have an almost perfect 5 star rating. I own this place, and I believe it is a rare treasure. So I curate it to replenish you. From now until May 31, there are opportunities to drive for an hour and stay for only two days, on a whim, and heal what is ragged and needs a rest away.

The cabin nestles within the arch of a ridge with the open side facing the water. This may be an old site, possibly an indigenous one, as it is protected and private and beautiful. When the sun reaches the other side of the riverbank, this is the view from the great room. Good morning!

Here is why you are following this page: Inexplicably, there are vacancies this December, including the holidays themselves! The cabin is alight with cheer, heated floors and a warm fire. You are able to have your perfect romantic getaway for $165 a night, over Christmas, for instance! Just mention I sent you. That's a huge chunk off the listed price in an Airbnb that is just an hour away and almost always booked. I have never offered these low rates. Have at it and enjoy.

This river is right out the front door and those kayaks are waiting on the bank. Now there are two day stays throughout the summer on dates between existing reservations, a shorter stay at a bargain price. This is June, and It's April and early spring now, so there is still the cozy fire in the evenings, and heated floors, and luxury towels and fluffy down beds. The "Book Now" button leads to the rest of the photos and the 5 star reviews.

Tonight there are at least 6 inches of fresh fallen snow at the cabin. This weekend, beginning Friday has opened up! I will lower the minimum stay to 2 days instead of the usual three if you mention this post, and you can rest up and enjoy the fire with someone you love. Someone else there is doing the plowing and shoveling. Perfect.

The cabin at the river is, adjusted for inflation, fewer dollars per night than it was when we started 5 years ago. According to our 5 star reviews, it is worth it more than ever now. And this month there is a new custom made birch kitchen with granite countertop and new appliances.

There are a few openings over the next four weeks too, when we are usually booked solid. There is a blanket of snow up here and the view out the mammoth windows, just behind the flickering wood stove, is peaceful and extraordinary.

I love offering the cabin because people really do touch into the world there. Babies sleep longer, parents find each other again, kids make discoveries out of doors and birthdays are memorable.
