He is risen, He is risen indeed.

Matthew 28
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’
If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

What's so good about Good Friday? Here is how Billy Graham answered that question:

Q:
Why do they call the day on which Jesus was crucified "Good Friday"? What was good about it? I think we ought to call it "black Friday" or something like that.

A:
If you had spoken with Jesus’ family and followers on that Friday I suspect they would have agreed with you. Then all hope seemed lost; Satan and his servants seemed to have won; evil and death seemed to have triumphed.

But if you had spoken with them only a few days later, you would have heard something entirely different! Then they knew all was not lost; Satan and his servants had not won; evil and death had not triumphed. In fact, the opposite was the case: The forces of evil had been defeated, death had been destroyed, and from that point onward human life would never be the same.

What made the difference? The difference was twofold: Jesus’ tomb was empty, and He had appeared to them. In other words, Jesus had broken the bonds of death, and now He was alive! And suddenly they realized that what had seemed at first to be a defeat was in fact a victory—a victory over Satan and sin and death. The Bible says, “You, with the help of wicked men, put Him to death. … But God raised Him from the dead” (Acts 2:23-24).

Why is it called “Good Friday”? Because by His death, Jesus became the final and complete sacrifice for our sins. We cannot erase our guilt, nor can we overcome our sins by our good deeds. But Christ did what we could never do for ourselves, by dying for us on that first Good Friday. May this day truly become “Good Friday” for you, as you confess your sins and put your faith and trust in Christ.

Find peace with God today.

Who Was St. Patrick?
Saint Patrick was a Romano-British missionary who lived in the fifth century. He is known as the "Apostle of Ireland". He was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people.

In the centuries following Patrick’s death (believed to have been on March 17, 493), the mythology surrounding his life became ever more ingrained in the Irish culture: Perhaps the most well-known legend of St. Patrick is that he explained the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) using the three leaves of a native Irish clover, the shamrock.

He is believed to have converted many people to Christianity in Ireland, including kings, their families, and entire kingdoms.
He is also believed to have incorporated Irish culture into Christian lessons.

This is not the peach cobbler we had in mind. If you like to make REAL peach cobbler or just like peaches in general, join us for this tour where we visit a peach farm and pick our own peaches.

Schnepf Farms
Thursday, May 8, 2025

Enjoy a fun day on the farm with the added delight of fresh peaches. You can pick them yourself or buy them at the store. The store has peach preserves and many other kinds of preserves, fresh canned items, and yummy baked goods. A wonderful lunch will be prepared and provided at the farm. The farm is the largest peach grower in the state, all organic and pesticide free. Over fifty years ago, Ray Schnepf planted his first peach trees, two years later the farm started picking and shipping peaches all over the country. As people drove out to Queen Creek for a little day trip, they noticed peach trees in the desert. At first the fruit was picked and sold at a little roadside stand, but five years later, the orchards were opened for U-PICK. Customers came from all over to pick Arizona peaches.
