Why visit Prescott AZ.
Prescott, Arizona will surprise you around every corner. It is known for its cowboy history from the Earp brothers, Whiskey Row having the most bars in one area in AZ, and its moderate climate. At an elevation of 5,200 feet, you’ll find yourself surrounded by ponderosa pine forests, giant granite boulders, 4 lakes, and endless hiking and mountain biking trails in and around the city that is filled with wildlife. Prescott is verdant and full of opportunities to enjoy recreating outdoors in many ways, especially when visiting from out of state. The same goes for Prescott's city life. Local microbreweries, distilleries, and restaurants serving both comfort and modern cuisines continue to pop up, adding to the already well-known Whiskey Row scene. Don’t worry though, the spirit of Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and other legendary cowboy figures still live in the heart of saloons of downtown Prescott. There’s no shortage of experiencing the True West, the Wild West in Prescott.

Prescott usually has our biggest snow storm during February and it proved right again this year here at our home which sits 6000' above sea level. 10 to 12 inches, and we still have 4 days of snow to come. We are so excited!!

We just learned and got to experience the Whiskey Row Marathon from the comforts of our STR's
It's so neat to hear the story about it is a qualification for the Boston Marsthon. How neat!!!

Saturday October 14th, 2023

The James Family Prescott YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-focused organization. The Whiskey Row Marathon is our largest fund raiser for program scholarships which help families in our community. Proceeds from this race go directly into the scholarship fund at the James Family Prescott YMCA to assist children and families in financial need to participate in child care, swimming lessons, youth sports and gymnastics classes.

Without your participation and the community support for the WRM Races, our local families in need may not have a chance to make sure that their children flourish, even in times of economic hardship.

Little Fact: Prescott will not allow too much lighting outside homes to make sure our skies stay beautiful. How cool is that!!

STORM SEASON IS HERE!!! We love the Monsoons. Walking downtown during Monsoon Season is a must-see, Because with monsoons come beautiful skies, loud thunder, and crazy rain. It is a mixture of scary/beautiful.

WHISKEY ROW - One of the Top 5 Western Towns in the United States.
Whiskey Row has the most bars in 1 location in Arizona.
Virgil Earp "was: the LAW here Followed by
Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday who used to live here.
Virgil also owned the oldest bar on Whiskey Row ( THE PALACE)
Famous Matt's Saloon tourists come in just to see a true wild west Bar.
The Art Galleries are a must-see.
Ian Russell Gallery of Fine Art is a must-see as you will find some of the most unique art anywhere
That is just the tip of Whiskey Row in Prescott Courthouse Square-Downtown Prescott. A must-see if you are ever here in Prescott.

We love it when our guests use the kitchen in the loft! It is a hotspot for everything you need for your stay!!. Fresh Keurig Coffee, Amenities for dining in when you don't want to go out, cold beer steins in the freezer after a long day out on the town, and even a popcorn maker for a cute cuddle on the couch watching a movie.

Great food and customer service. The food was fantastic. The fish comes in fresh there 3x a week and is the only Japanese restaurant to do this is prescott. The server know the menu in and out, which made asking questions very simple. The atmosphere was very inviting. Will definitely come back

Happy Ice Cream Day!!

Downtown Prescott has one of the most unique places to get delicious Ice Cream. We go there at least 2x a month. There is always a line Fite and Sons Mercantile and Ice Cream.

Have you ever had Prickly Pear Ice cream, Honey Lavender. Well, they got it and it is soo good. Also, pick up some Prickly Pear Lemonade on your way out. That is my favorite by far.

Come try the best artisan ice cream in Prescott as well as our creamy home-made fudge and roasted nuts! And don't miss our local art, souvenirs, and local apparel! Fite and Sons is a family-owned and operated shop on Whiskey Row in Prescott, AZ.
