Why visit Prescott AZ.
Prescott, Arizona will surprise you around every corner. It is known for its cowboy history from the Earp brothers, Whiskey Row having the most bars in one area in AZ, and its moderate climate. At an elevation of 5,200 feet, you’ll find yourself surrounded by ponderosa pine forests, giant granite boulders, 4 lakes, and endless hiking and mountain biking trails in and around the city that is filled with wildlife. Prescott is verdant and full of opportunities to enjoy recreating outdoors in many ways, especially when visiting from out of state. The same goes for Prescott's city life. Local microbreweries, distilleries, and restaurants serving both comfort and modern cuisines continue to pop up, adding to the already well-known Whiskey Row scene. Don’t worry though, the spirit of Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and other legendary cowboy figures still live in the heart of saloons of downtown Prescott. There’s no shortage of experiencing the True West, the Wild West in Prescott.

Prescott usually has our biggest snow storm during February and it proved right again this year here at our home which sits 6000' above sea level. 10 to 12 inches, and we still have 4 days of snow to come. We are so excited!!

We just learned and got to experience the Whiskey Row Marathon from the comforts of our STR's
It's so neat to hear the story about it is a qualification for the Boston Marsthon. How neat!!!

Saturday October 14th, 2023

The James Family Prescott YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-focused organization. The Whiskey Row Marathon is our largest fund raiser for program scholarships which help families in our community. Proceeds from this race go directly into the scholarship fund at the James Family Prescott YMCA to assist children and families in financial need to participate in child care, swimming lessons, youth sports and gymnastics classes.

Without your participation and the community support for the WRM Races, our local families in need may not have a chance to make sure that their children flourish, even in times of economic hardship.

When pulling out of our STR's, our guests get to see the beautiful night skies that always deliver here in the Prescott National Forest.
Little Fact: Prescott will not allow too much lighting outside homes to make sure our skies stay beautiful. How cool is that!!

STORM SEASON IS HERE!!! We love the Monsoons. Walking downtown during Monsoon Season is a must-see, Because with monsoons come beautiful skies, loud thunder, and crazy rain. It is a mixture of scary/beautiful.
