Zola came into the woolery last night to demonstrate to Rigby appropriate indoor behavior. No grabbing wool, no pulling things off tables, no running wild, no chewing cords. Just curl up and appreciate the love🥰. Rigby was very intrigued by such curious behavior. Teach by example 😁

I'm working on getting some elf shoes made for tomorrow's Rochester Farmers Markets. Hopefully they will dry quick enough that I can accessorise them. It's like watching paint dry. Literally.

The 2024 needle felting season has begun! I will be at the Rochester Farmers Markets Saturday mornings throughout November and December this year. Stop by tomorrow to see what beautiful wool my sweet sheep donated this year 😁

The winner is BROWN SUGAR! I was thinking it was a tie with Clyde until I washed the wool today! Congratulations Brown Sugar for growing the most beautiful wool on Schmidt Farm this year 😍.

Clyde is currently in the lead for best wool for this shearing season! I have just 3 left to shear but the competition is tough with that last group. Can he hold onto the top spot? (I don't watch sports so this is my competitive outlet 😂)

Spent the weekend with this young lady who is nothing but smiles! It was a nice break with a very busy week ahead. Devan is harvesting corn, Paul is planting garlic and I will be shearing sheep. Gotta love fall!

"Raven". One of a kind! This will likely be the only festive fall sculpture that I make this year. She stands 15" tall. I needle felted the body & hair from Ingmar's wool. I sculpted her face and hands from polymer clay. She is supported by a wooden dowel and mounted onto a 4" wooden disc for stability. She is available for purchase tonight until 9pm via Venmo, or if still available, tomorrow at the Rochester Farmers Markets to the first buyer. (I would prefer not to ship this one.) She will definitely be a standout decor piece!

This young lady has been an inspiration for me since we opened our VRBO farm stay in 2017. She is a country girl in her soul, living in the city. I'm thankful for getting to know this amazing family and blessed to have watched them grow up. I have the best job!

😊 Join Hope & I on our amazing trail ride today in Forestville. We have finally reached our goal of getting these 2 new horses on the trail! It went flawlessly! With lots of patience, we now have mutual trust and respect relationships with River & Ice Cream. There's no stopping us now ❤️.

The water is still boiling out of the springs but the water looks much clearer today. There's a lot of pressure there! Fountain, MN

The Fountain, MN area got more rain than we did at our farm. Our spring there is not the babbling brook that we usually enjoy. The lower area of the property there was flooded so I had to hike up over the top of the property to get to our cabin. It's amazing how much water is shooting out of this spring. It will look different here when it's done.
