This client loves to fish, and she's wanted to get more into fly fishing. Seven years ago, she was gifted a fly rod, but had yet to catch a fish on it. On her full day guided trip, we did a casting lesson on land before hitting the river. Shortly after, she landed this beautiful cutty!

Fly fishing continues to take me to the most special places with some of the most special people. Yesterday, I spent the day on Sisga Lake, a couple hours outside of Bogota, Colombia, catching carp alongside a passionate angler and masterful fly-tier, and my guide for the day, who showed me his waters and treated me to a day full of great food, fishing, and memories.

Day two of the clinic brought anglers from three hours away, some local, and others from around the world. We'll be exploring more advanced tactics, and enjoying the most magnificent property at Campucocha Fishing Lodge alongside the living legend, and owner, Eduardo (pictured here).

As part of my trip to Ecuador, I was invited to teach a two-day fly fishing clinic to local anglers by the owner of Campucocha Fishing Lodge, located on over 200 hectares of private land.

The owner, Eduardo, is one of the most influential people in the fishery of this country. He's 76 years old, and runs a full service lodge on a property with 4 waterfalls, and a diverse number of wetlands, streams, and lakes. He's a living legend.

Pictured here are the anglers who are attending day one of the clinic where we are discussing fly entomology, line management, casting, and equipment.

To find myself here leaves me a bit speechless, and I'm so honored to be invited to share this passion.

My best friend came from an animal shelter, where he was brought as a puppy with a broken leg. They fixed him up and he lived a wonderful life. So, when Better Together Animal Alliance asked me to donate a trip, I was honored to help. The trip raised $4500 to help regional pets in need!
