Pray for Appalachia

On Saturday, February 16th, the heart of Appalachia—West Virginia, Southwest Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, and Tennessee—was devastated by catastrophic flooding. A nearly foot of snow melted and relentless rains followed. The land had taken all it could.

We’ve heard it before—"a 200-year flood," "a 1,000-year flood"—yet these so-called once-in-a-lifetime disasters seem to be happening more and more. The mountains hold stories older than time, and the people here hold traditions that run just as deep. Appalachia is not just a place; it’s a way of life. It’s a step back in time, a land of resilience, and a home unlike any other.

Now, many of our neighbors have lost everything. And I truly mean everything. Some communities may never fully recover. The road ahead is long, but if there's one thing about the people of Appalachia, it's that we don't give up.

Please, continue to pray for these communities. If you’re able, help in any way you can. Appalachia needs us. And we won’t turn our backs on her.
