The reunion will NOT take place in May as previously hoped for this year. We will look at our options to have it this fall in September, Labor Day weekend 2022 or at worst the Memorial Day Weekend 2023 and be back on schedule.

This will give everyone plenty of time to plan as Family vacations / trips are planned way ahead of time. Once the official date is set that will give everyone a fair chance to plan to be there. Time to get back to normal!

I will keep you all informed and thank you. Take care of one another and God bless you.

Due to recent developments with the spread of the Corona virus again and this new Delta variant, I am sad to announce the cancelling of the reunion for this year and that we will look to have it Memorial Day weekend 2022.

The hospital here is literally full and half the folks admitted were already vaccinated and still contracted the disease. I just don’t feel it is safe yet for us all to gather in a large group, especially our elders.

I love you all and pray you stay safe from this horrible disease and that we get to see each other soon.

***Announcement on our Riffe Reunion 2021***

This year’s reunion has been postponed to Saturday September 4th at 11am. This gives not only time for COVID to clear up a bit more, but for people to make travel arrangements well in advance. We want to see a good turnout so please spread the word, not COVID!

***PLEASE NOTE***
It will still be at R.D. Bailey Lake but note that we will meet at shelter #2 this year, the one near the boat launch up on the hill. Please share with all your family and friends.

I’m looking at postponing our reunion this year to Labor Day weekend. For several reasons but the biggest is allowing people to plan out travel and to be able to be there.

First off I’m not upset or angry or hurt, no one has been hateful or ill toward me or said a single negative thing to me so don’t read anything into this please 😂. Figured I’d better start it off with that!

I just think it’s time. Time for the next person to step up and lead the Riffe Reunion. I’ve put in more then a full presidential term and I just want to groom the next person to take over. If interested please reach out to me. I am here to make it a smooth transition. I’ll still be here to help with the auction, games, etc...but who wants the honor of being the next Riffe Reunion Director? Yes it takes some work, but with the volunteers I’ve had they made it so easy for me. It’s a huge honor young Riffes...who is ready?

Huge Announcement:

After a wonderful idea from my First Lady and future wife, the 47th Annual Riffe Reunion In 2020 will be different and fun! We will still honor God, Family, and Country...but it will have a “fun theme” for all ages to enjoy! New games, new look, and new prizes! Come see us next year for all the fun. Love and prayers to you all.
