According to Hawaii Magazine’s 2025 readers’ poll, Kauai is the best Hawaiian Island! Also, Hanalei Bay was awarded best beach on the island. We wholeheartedly concur! And of course, we think that Holly’s Kauai Condo is one of the best all around vacation rentals on the Northshore (though we could be a teeny bit biased).

Crystal-clear turquoise water, pristine white sand, and a refreshing cool breeze - what more could you ask for? Ke’e beach is the final destination driving north around the island, marking the beginning of the Kalalau trail and offering amazing snorkeling opportunities. Advanced reservations are required, so plan ahead!

Kauai’s most famous hike may be the Kalalau trail, but the Okolehao trail is certainly a must-see! This 2.5 mile round trip hike provides incredible views of Hanalei Bay and the nearby ridge lines. The end of the trail is marked by a picturesque clearing with a lovely bench where you can eat your mid-hike snack and soak in the views.

Kaua’i has many hidden gems around the island including this cove where you can frequently find sea turtles, or “honu”. However as visitors to the island, we must remember to treat these creatures with respect. They are protected animals in the Hawaiian islands with many threats to their species including disease, marine debris and unintentional killing/disturbances.

If you are lucky enough to come across a honu during your adventuring, it is recommended that you keep a distance of 10 ft while you observe their beauty. Ensure you clean up any debris that you bring in during your beach day activities. Also consider bringing a trash bag for your beach walks to pick up any trash that was washed up on the shore.

We encourage you to do your part to help maintain the natural beauty of Kaua’i while you enjoy your visit.
