News this week:
Did you hear about the new policy this week on Carnival as far as where passengers under age 21 can be placed on the cruise ship? Did you know EVERY cruise line has policies in place for minors, and many have policies not only for under age 18 but age 21 as well? (Royal Caribbean has explicit policies under age 21 that I work with daily for families to obtain the proper Verified Minor code!).

Fun fact:
When a travel advisor asks information such as legal name and birthdate, it helps us find rooms that are in compliance with the cruise contract. Each line has different rules, and knowing the ages helps us find rooms that work (same as knowing state of residency for residential promos or utilize vacation protection plans). This date of birth information is also being used for leaving the country and must match government documents. Yes, we do need month, day AND year.

When people do not provide me that information, I cannot move forward.
When setting up a phone call, this information will help maximize our time together in exploring the perfect cruise for you and is linked with my phone calendar (and vice versa) as these go hand-in-hand:

Is Aruba on your list to visit? Shore excursions can really help one explore the island, but in any country, be aware of signs. They are not like here in the US and put up signs and fences, just simply signs. Safety first!

Part of the cruise contract with all cruise lines is that ports / times are subject to change. Often times it may decrease the time in port or modify destinations, but this was a cool email to read this morning as overall cumulative time in port increased. For example, Santorini is a tender port as Santorini caldera is a large, mostly submerged caldera, so that extra time to get up and go ashore early before the heat of the day is awesome! Split is very walkable into town (about 10 minutes away by foot with UNESCO site of Diocletian's Palace, built between the late 3rd and the early 4th centuries AD). And Slovenia, the only country with LOVE in its name, is just gorgeous. I can still taste the fresh Greek salad we made in October and that sail-in to Kotor is GORGEOUS!!!
