Another good day so far. Other than another busted twisted up hook from a levelwind jamming. That’s exactly why I don’t run levelwinds on big fish gear. Is what it is. Another high teen still swimming out there.
Awesome couple days with the Molesky bros on their annual 2 day trip!! Kept some avg fish and some good fish. Released a couple 10s and let a good teen turn hook into a cork screw. (Drag got bumped too tight)!!
Finally seeing water temps back in the mid 50s and the fish are chewing!!
Still have plenty of days available in Feb, but only 9 days available in March. Still looking to book up some crappie longlining trips for the end of Feb and beginning of March.
Looking forward to some big fish this spring!
UPDATE: BOOKED!!
Got this Sunday open and weather looks great!!
We can do crappie, striper, or cats!! Pulled out the longlining rods today for some crappie but caught them with all methods: trolling, casting jigs, and even using a float and minnow!
Happy Birthday Wyatt!! Birthday catfishing trip this morning!!
It’s cold but the fish are eating!! Plenty of day open till until mid March then it gets busy! Let’s go fishing!
Had a couple perch orders to fill and needed some for a couple trips this week. Size is great right now for perch!!! Let’s go fishing!!!
How to locate/fish brush on Murray without using livescope.
I apologize if I blew up someone’s brush pile, but in today’s world with just simple electronics, no pile is really secret anymore. Most of the fish on there were bream by the way. As I said in the video, just by looking at the screen I wouldn’t have really stopped on this one to spend any real time on it.
These are the things we go over (if you wish to) when you go out on trips with me. It doesn’t matter if it’s a crappie, striper, perch, or cat trip, your gonna get the info you need to catch fish OR If you want to just fish and not go through the technical details we can do that as well.
Coming up on a fresh year! Hope everyone had a great Christmas hopefully a happy new year! Plenty of dates are open the next 2 months. March however is starting to fill up. Long line trolling for crappie will be here before you know it. Probably want to look at those late Feb-March dates!!
The jumbo perch are really stacking up. Love this time of year. The perch are great for the kids too! Lots of hands on activities! We can do mornings or afternoons!!
What a great morning to be on the water throwing Jeffro’s Jigs! Hammered some really nice slabs today throwing 1/32 heads with jeffro’s small fork tail jigs. These are a very slender bodied jig that have great action without having a big profile.
These were all livescope brush fish.
They are a couple of colors today but these were the ones that produced the best.
Clear w/ gold glitter
Monkey milk (milk money) whatever you want to call it

Also the perch bite is really getting going and some really big ones are showing up. It’s time to get on those perch if you enjoy catching them or getting the kiddos on some pretty good action!!!
Been getting the striper really good this week with some really nice boxes. Did have one slow day (last Saturday) but the rest of the days have been great! Had a customer wanting to do a tag along catfish trip today so we rounded up some guys went to it!
Started out catching some perch around Dreher in about 30’ of water, then ran up to the elbow to put some eaters in the boat. Mission accomplished so we went looking for a big fish. I can’t always guarantee a big fish but I can guarantee I will try my best. Today that effort was good enough. Edwin Ettinger was the lucky man on the rod. Not sure if he wanted to be or not but we gave it to him 😂😂
Fished weighed between 48-50# as the scale was bouncing a little and Ed said it was his PB cat! Love being apart of these moments!! Love these Catch The Fever rods!!
Will post some striper pics this weekend from the week as it won’t let me post vids and pic together.
Catch The Fever
Tomorrow 10/22 and 10/31 available
Absolutely epic day today with the cats. Another pushing 40, couple 30s few 20s, never turned one that came unglued and lost count of the 5-12s. Cat bite has been good but seems it’s changed to great!!
Big fish came on perch, smalls came on herring from Midlands Outdoors LLC Live Blueback Herring and Striped Bass Guide Service Caught the perch this morning on tuffies in 25-30’ of water. Cats came from 25-40’ pulling .4-.5mph.
Love these Catch The Fever old school trolling rods. I use the ML, and they are perfect for what I do on this lake and aren’t massively heavy like some of the other cat rods.
We have some dates available in November as well, but they should start to get full soon!
More pix and another vid in the comments!
Catch The Fever
Not sure there is a worse feeling than catching a pig, Recording it all. The fight, the weigh in, the release, the how to, everything. Then realizing you never hit record! 😂😂
47# blue
Out here trying to nail these cats down for y’all. It’s getting close. They are a little more shallow than I would like but the bite is definitely getting better.
This 2 second video is of me hitting the record button thinking I was turning it off 😂😂😂
