Our weekday tours are tiny but do continue this time of year. On Monday night, I had the privilege of leading just one guest on her tour and it was LOVELY! She was in town for a job interview. It was so fun to introduce her to our city and help her fall in love, while giving her pep talks for her interview.

Folks, she contacted me today and SHE GOT THE JOB!!! I like to think that our spirits smiled on her and gave her future employers a nudge in the right direction👻

The lesson is- Take a ghost tour before your job interview.

What a wonderful night!

Guides Clay, Katie, and Courtney handed out candy, told tales, and offered a Crystal Skull to the best dressed guest on each tour. Courtney had no costumed guest, so our winner was a couple celebrating their FORTY-NINTH wedding anniversary 👰🤵

Providence was wonderfully spooky and it was a glorious All Hallows Eve🎃

Autumn in the city🖤

Tours continue! Tonight, we have tours still available at 7:30 and 8:30. Kelly and Clay will be on Haunted Boat Rides with Providence River Boat Company .

Saturday, Oct 26 will include Courtney and Sue floating on boats reading children's stories during the Wicked Walk, followed by Clay and Kelly leading our first "Folklore and Firelight" boat tours with Providence River Boat Company during Waterfire! So excited for this! Our traditional walking tour route will be available up the hill with four bookings times. Haunted Benefit will be happening down the hill, but is boooo-ked👻.

On Sunday, more walking, more boating, and a gondola for good measure!

Next week we continue, so let's keep the spooky spirit alive and going💀🎃🖤

Investigation Tours are over for the season (*I think...). They are such a treasure. From hearing a guest's name called ("Hi Callie!") to a guide's name, to conversations about who slapped who, to learning how to use spirit boxes, pendulums, dowsing rods, and EMF readers, it was otherworldly.

I cannot thank Deb enough for lending us her light and magic. You are a wonder, dear friend!

We have ghost tours (two routes!), boat tours (*FINAL WEEK! ENDS SUNDAY!!!) gondola tours (*this Thursday, next Tuesday and Halloween remain), and history tours (limited right now; will resume a more expansive schedule next month) still going strong, so join us for whatever pops your toast🖤

I'd like to take a moment to thank my incredible guide Kelly for managing the tour this past week. She allowed me the opportunity to celebrate my wonderful husband's birthday. Ma'am, thank you for your capability, generosity, and focus!

My husband and I took a drive down to Gettysburg, PA. What an eye-opening experience. The town has lived so much life since the three day battle, but that moment in time permeates every aspect of Gettysburg. The Gettysburg National Military Park is such an important reminder of why we must strive for peace and demand to live by higher ideals. The spirits are palpable throughout the park, but we felt them especially intensely at Little Round Top.

Following the park, we returned to the town and had the honor of attending Ghosts of Gettysburg Candlelight Walking Tours. Our guide Annie was wonderful! She wove the history right into the hauntings, providing context for the spirits and allowing us a deeper understanding of the experiences of the civilians during the war and beyond. Of all the tours one can take in Gettysburg, this is the one to take. Thank you Tim Weisberg for the perfect recommendation!

Now, back to Providence in October! We have walking tours (classic route and the new Haunted Benefit Street route), gondola tours with La Gondola Providence (Tues and Thurs), Haunted Boat Rides with Providence River Boat Company (Weds-Sun), Parasol Tours, and some private tours sprinkled in for fun! In addition, we will be floating around the New England Witches Guild in East Providence on Saturday!

This is also the final five days of voting for USA TODAY 10Best Ghost Tours, so please vote and keep us in the running! At last check we were #4, but now rankings are closed, so we won't know until they announce who made the cut.

Mourning often involved using a lock of the deceased person's hair to create jewelry or was preserved in some way. Last Wednesday, the archivist of the John Hay Library gave me a lovely tour and I had the privilege of holding a lock of Edgar Allan Poe's hair (in a beautiful frame, of course).

Mr. Poe died on this day in 1849. He is remembered for his many works. There are many myths about him. What I feel we should hold most dear is his willingness to feel a full range of emotions, to search for love, beauty, and darkness, and to be unapologetically unique.

I'm so proud of my tour and my guides. The care they put into their tours is so intentional. From choosing the right adjective to help guests visualize a story to finding the safest route over our "charming" sidewalks, this tour matters to them (and to me!)!

Ghosties, we have tours all weekend but they are selling out. Thank you for such a wonderful problem to have!

We've got Haunted Benefit Street (one ticket left for Friday, many for Saturday) running, the classic PGT route (three tours tonight; one is already sold out, one on the way, one just opened; three tours tomorrow night; one tour Sunday night), and Parasols and Pocket Watches for Sunday morning. In addition to all that, we of course have our partnership with Providence River Boat Company on Sunday evening!

Tis the season to get ghosty, so consult the schedule, grab your bestie, and make your weekend magical.
