Thank you to Mayor Jorge Elorza and Providence City Council for joining Kevin Hurley of and our President and CEO Kristen Adamo to present us with the first half of the $700,000 in ARPA funds we were awarded to jumpstart tourism! We have A LOT planned for the next coming year!

I’ll bet your wondering what we did with that first half. I would be. It’s a lot. We used that money to:

1. Run leisure advertising promoting Providence throughout the Northeast
2. Marketed our Three Night of Lights holiday event
3. Got started on a brand and strategic marketing plan for downtown.

And that’s just with the first half!

FirstWorks is collaborating with leading arts organizations (WaterFire Providence and The Avenue Concept) GoProvidence and City of Providence Jorge Elorza, to launch a signature holiday event in Providence – Three Nights of Lights! Dec. 1-3, 2022.

FirstWorks is proud to present Montreal-based ice dancing company Le Patin Libre for three free performances of "Carte Blanche" and an ice skating dance party on Thurs. Dec. 1 at the BankNewport City Center - Providence Rink.

The final, 8 p.m. performance will be followed by an hour-long, public Ice-Skating Dance Party, open to all.
