A member of our family could use some community support at this time:
Cathy's brother/Chris' brother-in-law, Jim, had a horrible lawnmower accident last week and suffered a major injury to his left foot. He's in tufts There is a good chance he will need to have 2 toes amputated.

Jim is a loving father, husband, and tattooer. Being self-employed comes with challenges, especially in a time like this. He's an incredibly hard-working person who normally works in NH and at his shop Seaport Tattoo in Boston.

Jim is unable to work and therefore unable to make money for his family. He's always been beyond generous to us and our family. Times are hard for everyone, but if you can help out, please donate to help a wonderful person and his family.

We wanted to re-introduce our walk-in process for our new clients and a refresher for existing clients!

We offer walk-in appointments subject to our artists' availability along side of our regular scheduled appointments.

We regularly have free time to take walk-in appointments, but to check the availability for walk-ins on a given day: we encourage you to call ahead of time or just stop by to ask in person. We do our best to pass through any last minute cancellations from our artists that open up time for a walk-in.

The more information you have towards your idea, the better! So please bring any possible reference photos, placement ideas, size ideas, font preferences, etc.

There is no minimum or maximum size requirement for a design. It depends on the artists' availability when you inquire!

The purpose of the walk-in is to be able to get tattooed shortly after coming through our door without needing an appointment ahead of time. We will do our best to get you seen as soon as possible!
(A small reminder that our shop minimum is $100)

Our Story

The Torchbearer Tattoo started life in 2014 as a private studio in Pawtucket, RI under the co-ownership of Ron Wells and Chris Cautillo. We operated as a low key private tattoo studio for 3 years in The Hope Artist Village. Over those years our family grew and more artists came on board. As wonderful as that little shop was we were out growing the space and wanted to be visible to the public. So in 2016 we started construction on our current location at 755 Westminster Street in Providence RI. On April 18th, one day after our 3 year shop anniversary, the new shop opened it’s doors to the public. The current version of Torchbearer is jammed packed with some amazing tattooers. We have a wide variety of tattooers whom offer a wide style of tattooing options. Please check out each artist we have to see who best fits your tattoo tastes.

Ron Wells co-owner and customer tattooer of over 10 years. Ron works mostly by appointment only and is here Wednesdays - Saturdays. You can contact Ron through his email at [email protected].

Chris Cautillo is also co-owner and custom tattooer of over 16 years. Chris works Tuesdays - Thursdays and Saturdays 12-8pm by appointment and walk ins covering a wide variety of tattoo styles. You can contact Chris through his email at [email protected] or by calling the shop at 401-331-6666.

Rick LaCapria joined the Torchbearer crew right as we opened the new location in early 2017. Rick is your artist for any and all tattoo needs. He is quick, polite, and does killer tattoos. Rick is here Tuesdays - Saturdays 12-8pm and can be reached at [email protected] or by calling the shop.
