Our Story

Daebak is a co-ed dance group made up of students from Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design.

Founded in Spring 2013 with a non-audition policy, we bring together a community of dancers and music enthusiasts to cover dances by k-pop idol groups. In Korean, ‘Daebak’ means “awesome”, “cool”, or “extraordinary”- it encompasses the passion that its members bring to every practice and performance.

We hold open dance workshops and perform at events on campus throughout the year, and culminate in a hugely popular annual spring showcase. Follow us on facebook for upcoming workshops, and check out our past performances on youtube!
