Since 2006, Skyline Hawaii has been a carbon-neutral company, working with carbonfund.org to reduce and offset our carbon footprint. Our goal is to eventually utilize electric vehicles for our tours as technology and funds allow.

Good news! We’re excited to share that our second restoration area is now stabilized, protected, and ready for planting! Big mahalo to our friends at Skyline HI and Haleakalā Biochar for donating labor, and the Maui Strong Fund of Hawaii Community Foundation for contributing the funds for fencing materials.

This ungulate-proof exclosure fence protects a 600 square meter area in the burn zone. Tomorrow, we host a service day with the junior class (Papa Pili 2026) at Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus who will help prepare the space, and next weekend the Leadership Council at Maui Huliau Foundation will plant out koa, ʻōhiʻa, and other plants on the Mahealani moon. These wonderful Maui high school students will be joined by Kula’s fire survivors who will contribute saplings they have been growing from seed all year.
It’s a kākou thing, and these collaborative efforts with our neighbors, students, and community members are a perfect reflection of our vision for Kula moku.
