Scott shot this big old 13 pointer. While he was walking into his stand. He kicked up a few does going in as I told him he more than likely would. He was about to continue to his stand which was only 30 yards away when he heard grunting coming from the creek bed. He looked over and all he could see was the horns sticking up. The buck showed himself as he tried to climb the steep wet bank, Scott took aim and pulled the trigger just as he slipped down the bank. The shot hit its mark perfectly and the buck actually ran up the side of the 15 foot creek bed and died on top side very near Scott. Best part is that we didn’t have to drag it up the creekside.
Congratulations Scott on an amazing deer and a story that I hope lasts a lifetime.
