Hey folks, our opening day is tomorrow with a Sunset Dinner Train through our grand little Trough Canyon. Ride aboard our premier narrated tourist train where history and scenic beauty combine to create a unique railroad adventure.

Unplug and reconnect to nature as you explore a remote and rugged canyon with someone you love!

Trough History Comes Alive:
1748 named by the Father of our country, George Washington, during a surveying expedition.
1756 bloody battle of the French and Indian War.
1970s and on, American bald eagles recovered from the impact of pesticide poisoning and Endangered Species listing.
1991 eagles had returned to Trough Canyon to greet Potomac Eagle upon her maiden cruise.

It's like riding in a living classroom!

Canyon excursions depart at 5:30 PM on May 6th, 1 PM on May 7th and 8th. See potomaceagle.com for reservations or call 304-424-0736.

While the fruit operations atop the mountain officially ended in the Summer of 2018 after over a century of providing delicious Apples, Peaches, and other fruit to Americans across the Region, our Chert Mountain Apple Packing Shed still has life left in it! The current cattle operation has little need for the industrial nature of the building, so we are eager to find someone to find a use for it! Check out the link below to see some more details and photos.
