Frank Ball - the first Funeral Director in Quakertown. His business was located on Front Street. Since the opening, the cemetery has always granted burial regardless of race or religion. The first burial was a child, Amanda Doll. Frank Ball and his family are buried in the cemetery. The original cemetery was developed up to the roadway that runs from east to west and divides the older section from
the later developments (this is the roadway directly behind the Brown mausoleum). This older portion includes sections A through H and Sunset Lawn. In 1933, sections Northeast, West and Center were opened and then in the late 1970's/early 1980's the new Northeast section was opened. Sometime in the early 1980's the cemetery got rid of its equipment and full-time staff. In 2015, the newest sections, Sunrise and the cremation Eternity garden were opened. We do not have reliable early records. Our most reliable records are from 1931 to present. The total number of graves prior to the addition of the new sections is around 10,000.
