Check out some of these events coming up! Join Thomas Crane Public Library for Black History Month Trivia Night as part of their ongoing festivities. Test your knowledge of Black history, culture, and the contributions of Black leaders, including their influence on our nation’s history and presidency. Also join them Feb 26th for a screening of "Queen & Slim" (2019). The Main Library screens your favorite films on Wednesdays at 2 PM in the Community Meeting Room.

Don't miss out! Here’s what’s happening this week in Quincy!

❄The rink will be open seven days a week from noon to 8 p.m. for community skating. The rink will remain open through the end of February school vacation week. Public skating and skate rentals will be provided without charge again this year.

Join Thomas Crane Public Library at the Main Library on Monday, February 24 from 7 - 8 PM for a special Black History Month Trivia Night as part of our ongoing festivities.
Test your knowledge of Black history, culture, and the contributions of Black leaders, including their influence on our nation’s history and presidency. This engaging trivia event is open to all ages, though children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Light refreshments such as tea and hot cocoa will be provided.

300th Anniversary Of Quincy Celebrated In New Exhibit
Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy are proud to kick-off Quincy’s year-long celebration of the City’s 400th Anniversary with an immersive exhibit experience about the community’s 300th anniversary in Quincy’s Old Town Hall Museum located at 1305 Hancock St.. Over 50 large-scale historic images will take visitors back to the seven days of the “Quincy Tercentenary” celebrations in 1925, and to the lives and landscapes of Quincy during prohibition and the rise of the automobile, radio and silent films. In addition, the exhibit includes the names of many of the community members who participated in the celebrations.
The exhibit will be free to the public starting Thursday Jan. 9th and ending Feb. 22nd
The hours will be:
Thursdays/Fridays: 2 pm-7-pm
Saturdays: Noon-5 pm

Marking a 200th Anniversary Milestone with Kid-Friendly Presidents’ Day Activities

QUINCY, MA — 2025 marks 200 years since John Quincy Adams was sworn in as sixth President of the United States. This Presidents’ Day and February school vacation week, join the National Park Service in commemorating this milestone. Learn more about the life and times of John Quincy Adams with a series of child-friendly activities at the Adams National Historical Park Visitor Center. These programs for kids of all ages are free and open to the public.

❄️ Winterfest is just one week away! Check out the full schedule and plan out your day! 🗓️
Afternoon and evening activities will take place from noon – 7:00 p.m. in and around the Hancock Adams Common, 1305 Hancock Street, under heated tents as well as inside Quincy City Hall and the Church of the Presidents. All events are free to the public and will include puppet and dinosaur shows, ice sculpture demonstrations, jugglers, acrobats, stilt-walkers & fire performances, educational shows, bands throughout the day and more. No tickets are necessary. Seating will be on a first come first served basis with limited seating for some of the shows. Doors will open 15 minutes before each event.
🎶 Musical performances include The Flagship Drumline, Brand New Boy Band, Tony Jackson, Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys and World Premier Band.
🍔🍺 Food and drink for purchase will be available from Wahlburgers, MoyzillaEllie’s Treats, Craig's Cafe and Break Rock Brewing.
📍 Discover Quincy Quincy Welcome Center, Quincy Art Association/QArts Gallery, Quincy400 Headquarters and Adams National Historical Park Visitor Center will all be open during the event for visitors.

The City of Quincy's Presidents Day Winterfest 2025 will be held on Monday, February 17th.

Afternoon and evening activities will take place from noon – 7:00 p.m. in and around the Hancock Adams Common, 1305 Hancock Street, under heated tents as well as inside Quincy City Hall and the Church of the Presidents. All events are free to the public and will include puppet and dinosaur shows, ice sculpture demonstrations, jugglers, acrobats, stilt-walkers & fire performances, educational shows, bands throughout the day and more. The full schedule of events will be posted in advance.

No tickets are necessary. Seating will be on a first come first served basis with limited seating for some of the shows. Doors will open 15 minutes before each event.

Musical performances include The Flagship Drumline from 1:00-1:30 p.m. & 3:00-3:30 p.m., Brand New Boy Band from 12:00-12:30 p.m., Music At The Blissful Kids Show from 12:45 p.m.-1:30 p.m., country singer Tony Jackson from 1:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m., Matt Heaton & The Outside Toys Kids Show from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. and World Premier Band at 5:00-5:45 p.m. and 6-6:45 p.m.

Food and drink for purchase will be available from Wahlburgers, Moyzilla, Ellie’s Treats, Craig’s Cafe and Break Rock Brewing Company.
