Merry Christmas from all of us at Harrison Monuments!
Warsaw on Main HM style
We are here! Come visit us at Harrison Monuments and enjoy a free hot dog and a movie in Perry’s workshop!
It's time for some basketball! To honor this upcoming season, we have chosen the Groves monument as our Design Spotlight.
John and Linda Groves have been supporters of Quincy High School and especially Blue Devil Basketball for years. John has been lighting the iconic Blue Devil torch prior to Quincy High School home games for over 20 years. When deciding on their pre-need monument they met with our designer Dale Loos and discussed their desire to incorporate their passion of Quincy High School into the monument.
Dale came up with an awe-inspiring design that definitely symbolizes the Groves' school spirit. The jet black wing tablets flanking the large Coral Blue center tablet also incorporates their Masonic affiliations. The center tablet, containing the Quincy Blue Devil mascot, displays their last name and wedding date while also having a very dramatic "see through" cut out surrounding the Blue Devil. We are proud of this work and very thankful to John and Linda for allowing us to complete this special monument for them.
As we reflect upon the past year, we're reminded of just how thankful we are to do what we do. We're grateful for each opportunity to help families and communities share and preserve their history through the services we provide.
From everyone at Harrison Monuments, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
Autumnal Equinox
Today summer officially fades into the colorful world of autumn. The falling leaves of the season remind us of the very leaf highlighted on our logo. A fall leaf represents previous and future life because the colorful leaf brightens up the fall and gives life and nourishment to the leaves of the coming spring. Thus the fall leaf has become Harrison Monument’s symbol for all the life that our past can give to our future.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Independence Day!
*Our offices are closed in observance of the holiday. Regular hours resume Friday, July 5.
National Skilled Trades Day
Happy National Skilled Trades Day to all the hardworking men and women of the world! At Harrison Monuments we are lucky to be surrounded by talented and skillful individuals that we get to celebrate all year long. Take today (and everyday) to celebrate the special, skilled trades worker in your life.
On National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, we celebrate! — as well as every other day of the year. As a family owned and operated business of over 60 years, we have a long tradition of working alongside one another. Passing down skilled craftsmanship and knowledge is what our customers have come to know and appreciate. For four generations, we've been taking our sons and daughters to work with us like it's our job...because it kind of is.
Memorializing the Ones You Love
A heart is more than heart when it’s carved into stone. Oftentimes families choose a heart shaped design for a memorial as a way to represent the love of life, love of family, love for the deceased, or love for each other. What does a heart monument symbolize to you?
New Year
Happy New Year from everyone at Harrison Monuments!
