At the 2024 Mother Ursula Infante Memorial Lecture earlier this semester, we were blessed to have Sr. Eileen Currie, MSC (’66, HON'17), President Emerita (1982‑92) speak about The Cabrini Legacy: Honoring Our History, Continuing Our Mission.

She shared so much wisdom with the crowd.

"Think of all the women and men and children your lives have touched. Because when we give ourselves away, the world has to be better.... Everything that we have been given is pure gift, pure gift. And every gift is not to be held in our pockets for ourselves. Every gift is given away. So many of you have been doing this for so many years. Congratulations.... We will need the Cabrini touch; our world needs Cabrini women and men who are convinced that there is something -- always more -- that we can do for the good of others. So please God we will always do."

This award was established in 2008 in honor of Dr. Jolyon Pitt Girard and his passion for teaching. This year, we are honored to recognize Professor Emeritus Jolyon Pitt Girard, Ph.D., at this event.
