Melissa Minnella

Melissa Minnella Designer, photographer, scotch drinker. A seasoned designer with all the attached interests: design, photography, digital, sewing, building things.

I’m proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and CSS. I believe in white space, texture, dimension, and good fonts. I tend to use icons and color for interest. I know how to push the limits while still staying true to a corporate brand. I belong to the AIGA, American Mensa, Freelancer’s Union, InSource, and Triangle User Experience Professionals Association (TriUXPA). In my spare time I can be found at Carolina Tiger Rescue where I volunteer on the grounds crew.

I ♥️ this logo.

One of the most iconic logos of our time, “I ❤ NY” was first used in 1977 to promote tourism at a time when New York was in decline. The logo has gone on to become a symbol of the city and has influenced graphic design worldwide. (via My Modern Met)
